Rant: That chemical peel reaction took me 3 hours to fix

Had a client come in for a light 20% lactic peel yesterday and she turned bright red within 10 minutes after I applied it. I spent the next 3 hours with cold compresses and aloe trying to calm her skin down, turns out she forgot to tell me she used retinol the night before. How do you guys handle clients who dont mention their full routine before a chemical peel?
