My mentor said to stop using glycolic acid on clients with active breakouts

Tried it their way for 3 months and saw way less irritation and faster healing, but now I'm second guessing if I should stick with it or go back to my old method since results were slower at first - anyone else get conflicting advice from senior estheticians?

Did you notice if the slower healing was actually worse in the long run, or did those clients just take a little longer to clear up without scarring?

Oh, that's a really good question. Actually, from what I saw with my own clients, the ones who took longer to heal didn't have worse scarring. It was more like their skin just needed a little more time to do its thing from start to finish. Did you notice the same with yours, or did you see a difference in how the scarring looked depending on how fast they healed?
