Just realized my LED face mask was losing power after 8 months

I bought a $200 LED mask last January and noticed my breakouts were coming back. Turns out the battery was dying and it wasn't putting out enough light energy. I tested it with my phone camera and saw only half the bulbs were lit. Has anyone else had their mask lose effectiveness over time and found a fix?

Wait I saw something about this on a skincare forum, they said the lithium batteries in these masks start degrading after like 6 to 8 months of regular use. The fix they mentioned was plugging it in while you use it if your mask has a cord option, since the battery losing charge is the main issue not the LEDs themselves. Also they said the phone camera trick only works if you turn off the auto brightness on your phone first, otherwise it can look like bulbs are dead when they're actually fine.

Those phone cameras need manual brightness settings or theyll fool you every time.
