I panicked when a client's lash lift went sideways on me last Tuesday

At my station in Portland, I was doing a lash lift and accidentally left the solution on too long. One eye came out perfect, the other was a crimped mess. Has anyone else had a lash lift go wrong and found a quick fix to save the look?

Flip the crimped side into a textured look by gently brushing and setting it with a clear brow gel to minimize the damage. Nobody talks about using a tiny bit of argan oil on just the tips to soften the crimp without straightening the whole lash. Even if it's not your original plan, a little creativity can turn a mistake into a deliberate style choice.

Gotta disagree on the argan oil thing. I've seen that backfire big time - oil can make the lift drop out completely and you're left with lashes that look even worse than before. The brow gel trick might hide it for a minute but those crimped lashes are gonna pop right back once it dries. In my experience the only real fix is to play it off with a really strong eyelash curler on the good side to match the wonky one, then hit both with a waterproof mascara. It's not gonna fix the damage but it'll at least make the client leave your chair without crying.
