Debate: Microdermabrasion vs chemical peels for acne scars

I did microdermabrasion on a client with old acne scars for 6 sessions and saw maybe 10% change. Switched her to a medium depth glycolic peel and after 3 peels the difference was night and day. Has anyone else found one approach just works way better for certain skin types?
