Client told me my brow mapping was too uniform and it made her face look stiff

After she pointed out I was following the same arch formula on every face shape, I started measuring from the actual bone structure instead of the nostril line and now my bookings are way more consistent - has anyone else had to unlearn a rigid technique like that?

It's wild how much we just accept a "one size fits all" approach in so many things, not just beauty. Like, even the way people teach you to organize your kitchen or plan your day is often just a copy-paste formula from someone else's life.

@cooper.taylor has a good point but I think one size fits all actually works for some people. Like those people who thrive on Marie Kondo style organization or the whole morning routine thing. The problem is when people act like their way is the only right way when really it just works for their brain. My mom tried to force her system of filing papers alphabetically on me for years but my brain works better by color coding and piles. She thought I was a mess until I showed her I could find anything in under 30 seconds. Different strokes for different folks.
