Client said my chair positioning was off, went back to basics
Had a regular last Thursday mention my facial was great but my headrest angle made her neck feel strained after 20 minutes. I've been doing this for 6 years and nobody ever said a word, so I grabbed a colleague to test the setup and she pointed out I was sloping the back too far. Anyone else had feedback that made you totally rework your room layout after years of doing it the same way?
Man, thats actually pretty wild. Six years and nobody flagged it, but once you know, you cant unsee it. I had a similar thing with my massage table height, a client casually mentioned they felt like they were sliding down, and I realized I'd been setting it way too high the whole time. Felt dumb for a week. But honestly, clients dont always know how to say whats wrong, they just feel it. Good on you for grabbing a colleague instead of just brushing it off. Probably saved you a bunch of future neck complaints.
