Can we talk about that time a client's skin totally surprised you?
I was at a skin health workshop in Austin last month, and the speaker had us all try a new way to check for dehydration by gently pinching the skin on the back of the hand. My client this morning had what looked like oily skin, but that pinch test showed she was actually super dry underneath. Has anyone else had a routine check change their whole plan for a facial?

Totally get what you mean, @sanchez.sean. That shiny layer can be so tricky. I had a client just like that, and switching from a deep cleanse to a gentle milk cleanser and a serious hydrating mask made all the difference. Her skin soaked it up and the oiliness calmed down in just a couple weeks. It really shows you can't just go by the first look.
