Can we talk about how much product we actually waste on extractions?

I was tracking my supply usage last month and realized I go through about 3 times more cotton squares and lancets than I thought. A coworker at the spa in Denver told me she uses a single lancet for up to 5 clients if she sanitizes between uses. That seems sketchy to me but she says it saves her $20 a week. On the flip side, I've seen estheticians who toss a whole tool kit after one client which feels wasteful too. Where do you draw the line on reusing or stretching supplies? I'm curious if anyone else has actually counted or measured their waste.

Three times more waste on cotton squares means money literally going in the trash.

Money literally going in the trash" - that's exactly how I started seeing it. I read somewhere that single-use cotton rounds take about 5,000 gallons of water to produce per pound. Switching to washable ones felt weird at first but now it's just normal routine for me.
