A client told me my extractions were too aggressive and it made me rethink my whole approach

She said, 'It feels like you're fighting my skin' during a facial about six months ago. I realized I was using too much pressure with my lancet, trying to get every single clog no matter what. Now I do a much longer steam and use a gentler, rolling technique, even if it means leaving a few things behind. Has anyone else had a client comment change a core part of your routine?

Fighting my skin" is such a perfect way to put it. I had a similar wake-up call when a client said my extractions felt "angry." That one word made me realize I was treating every pore like a personal enemy that needed to be conquered. I had to learn that leaving a few things behind for the health of the skin is way better than winning the battle but losing the war. My ego took a hit, but my results got way better.

Winning the battle but losing the war" is such a true line.
