That time I doubted a digital level on a freight elevator install
A few months back on a job in an old warehouse downtown, I used a digital level for checking rail alignment and I was sure it was off by a quarter inch. Turned out my old bubble level was the one that was actually out of whack after I dropped it off a ladder last year. Has anyone else made the switch to digital and found it more trouble than it's worth?

Wait, you dropped your bubble level off a ladder and still trusted it over a digital one? That's a bold move, buddy.

Honestly, "bold move" is putting it mildly. Dropping a bubble level like that probably messed with the vial anyway, so trusting it over a digital one is just asking for trouble. Ngl, I've had digital levels be dead-on even after being dropped, but a bubble level? That's a gamble. Tbh, I'd rather just buy a new one than hope an old one still works right after a fall like that.
