Stranded on a job because of a missing coupling

Was supposed to finish an installation yesterday. The coupling between the motor and drive sheave was the wrong size. Now I'm waiting for the correct one to ship. This has happened three times this year. How do you prevent mix-ups with parts orders?

Man, I get that feeling completely. That kind of job instability has to mess with your head after a while. It's not just the money, it's the constant starting over and the stress of not knowing what's next. I'd be totally fried trying to handle that much change in one year. Makes perfect sense to feel that way.
