Honestly, digital manuals are making us slower on repairs

I've noticed everyone using tablets for everything now. Tbh, I think it's making us forget how to diagnose without them. What's your opinion on this?

The "forget how to diagnose" part is real, we're becoming useless without screens.

That "forget how to diagnose" line hits hard. I see it when people jump straight to the computer for answers before even talking to the patient. It's like we skip the basic stuff, you know, checking a pulse or really listening to someone's lungs.

Yeah the muscle memory part is real. I started forcing myself to do the first 5 minutes of any diagnosis without touching a device. Grab the stethoscope, look at the patient, listen to their breathing. That basic stuff catches so much before you even need a screen. The tablet should be a helper, not your brain. If you can't hear crackles in the lower lobes without a digital cue, that's a problem. I've seen too many people sit there staring at a waveform trying to figure out what they're hearing when they haven't even put the earpieces in yet.
