Why does nobody talk about the quick fix for flickering LED TVs?
I had a customer bring in a TV that kept blinking on and off. Everyone jumps to replace the backlight, but I checked the power board first. Found a swollen capacitor, swapped it out in minutes. Now the TV works perfect, and the customer paid less. More repair folks need to stop assuming the worst and start with the basics.

Forget fancy tools, sometimes it's just a bad cap.

Tell me about it. Been there more times than I can count. You chase a ghost in the system for hours and it's the cheapest part that failed.

Yeah, "just a bad cap" has saved me from pulling my hair out more times than I want to admit. Nothing like a 50 cent part making you feel like a fool for hours.
