That customer's offhand remark about my soldering iron tip changed my whole desoldering game

Last Tuesday a guy waiting on a laptop board repair glanced at my chisel tip and said 'you know those cone tips are for jewelry, right?' before I even touched his machine. I swapped to a 2mm hoof tip the next day and suddenly I'm pulling through-hole caps clean on the first pass instead of fighting with braid for 10 minutes. Anyone else get handed a random truth bomb from a non-repair person and have it actually improve their bench work?
