Saw a guy wire a hot panel with no gloves in Toledo yesterday
I was doing a rough-in at a remodel downtown and this other crew's lead was landing circuits on a live panel, bare handed, not even a look of worry. My foreman said some old timers think gloves make you careless, but I've seen too many arc flashes from guys who thought they were bad enough to skip basics. That job took 3 hours longer because we had to wait for them to finish so we could piggyback the feed. How do you handle dudes who act like PPE is for rookies, or am I the only one who flags that?

Three hours of waiting for a live panel sounds like a scheduling excuse more than a safety crisis, honestly. I've watched guys do way sketchier stuff and walk away fine, and most arc flash stories I hear are from people who never even touched the panel.
