Saw a code stat that blew my mind

Found out from an IBEW safety meeting that 60% of arc flash incidents happen to guys with under 5 years experience. I thought vets were the ones getting complacent and getting hurt. How do you train green apprentices to stay scared of live gear?

Is this just how it is with anything dangerous? I see the same thing with new drivers on the road. They're focused on the GPS, not the guy merging. They think because they just passed the test, they're good. The vets know exactly where the hazards hide, so they move slower and check twice. The new guys are still learning where the blind spots are. Maybe staying scared is less about being afraid and more about knowing exactly what can go wrong.
