My journeyman swore by WD-40 on stuck conduits, cost me a $220 call back
Turns out soaking a rusted EMT coupling in it just made the pull rope slip and snap, so now I'm asking anyone in Phoenix, what do you actually use for seized fittings?

Skip the sprays entirely and grab a plumbing torch. I mean, heat the coupling itself with a map gas torch until it just barely starts to glow, then hit it with a wet rag. That thermal shock breaks the corrosion bond way better than any lube. Just be careful around fire stops or anything flammable, but I've popped year-old ridgid fittings loose this way when every penetrating oil on the shelf failed.
