My buddy in Phoenix said he's been using a 12 volt impact driver for panel work
We were talking about tight spaces in a 200 amp main and he said he switched from his big 18 volt to a little 12 volt Milwaukee. Said it's lighter and fits way better without stripping the lugs. I always thought you needed the big torque for everything. Anyone else try a smaller driver for panel installs?

Honestly, your buddy is onto something. I used to wrestle my 20v into every panel until I tried a friend's 12v DeWalt driver. The smaller head lets you get straight on a lug without the battery pack hitting the side of the can. It still has enough torque to snug things down properly, and my wrist isn't dead after a day of terminations.

Feel like an idiot for lugging around my heavy 20v for years. My elbow would kill me after a long day in a tight panel. Should have switched to a 12v ages ago.
