Just finished a rewire where the client insisted on aluminum for the main feeder
Everyone online says copper is the only way to go, but the new alloy they used was way easier to pull through the 2-inch conduit. The price difference was over $800, which let us upgrade their panel too. Anyone else have a recent job where aluminum actually made sense?

You mentioned the new alloy being easier to pull. That's a real benefit on a long run. Modern aluminum isn't the same problematic stuff from the 70s. If it's listed for the use and installed right, the panic over it seems overblown.
