Just finished a job where the client wanted all smart switches, and I'm over it
We put in a full Lutron Caseta system in a big remodel in Denver, and the amount of callbacks for app issues and firmware updates was crazy. I did a similar sized house with basic Decora switches and a couple smart dimmers for key rooms, and the owner has had zero problems for six months. Why are we making simple light control so complicated and fragile?

Sometimes the best smart home tech is just a good, dumb switch.

Exactly, nothing beats a switch that just works.
