Vent: That whole learning styles thing is a myth and schools still waste money on it
I just read a study from a guy named Pashler back in 2008 that killed the idea of auditory vs visual learners, but I still see districts in my area buying those $500 learning style assessment kits. Has anyone else run into teachers who refuse to drop this stuff even after seeing the evidence?

The money angle matters here - districts are spending real cash on stuff that doesn't help kids learn. Teachers I've talked to say it makes lesson planning easier to have categories, even if the research doesn't back it up. Just feels like we should put that money toward things that actually work in the classroom.
