Library cards went digital and I was the last holdout
My branch pushed the new app hard for like 6 months. I kept telling the librarian I liked my plastic card, it worked fine. Then they stopped printing new ones last month. I finally downloaded it and wow. I can check out ebooks, audiobooks, and even museum passes without standing in line. The app also lets me renew stuff from my truck at a job site in El Paso. Saved me a trip and a $1.50 late fee on a cookbook. Anyone else drag their feet on this switch?

My buddy Dave did the same thing with his library in Tucson. Held onto that worn out card for years, said the app was just another thing to lose his password for. His kid needed a book for a school project on a Sunday night, library was closed, and he finally caved and got the app. Turns out he could pull up the ebook right there on his phone in like two minutes. Now he won't shut up about it and keeps bugging me to sign up too.
