Heads up: visited the old textbook warehouse on Elm Street and noticed their inventory system is totally broken
I stopped by last week to grab some used science books for my nephew... and there were boxes from 2019 still sitting in the wrong sections. The lady at the desk said they just don't have the staff to update the catalog anymore. Has anyone else noticed this at other education resource centers?

Hang on, you're kind of proving why the system might not actually be broken though. If those 2019 boxes are still sitting around, that means the inventory is actually more honest than most places that just mark things as "available" online even though they lost them years ago. My local library uses a similar setup where they just keep everything out in the open and let people dig through it... and honestly I've found some great stuff that would have been thrown away if they had a fancy digital catalog. The old system might look messy but at least you know exactly what you're getting when you pick up a book rather than ordering something that was probably stolen off the shelf last month.

Yeah the "at least you know what you're getting" part really got me. I used to think messy inventory was just bad management but you might be onto something about it being more honest than the fake catalogs.
