Found a simple flashcard trick that saved my history grade
Back in 2016 I was drowning in dates for my American History 101 class at community college. I tried re-reading chapters and watching YouTube summaries but nothing stuck. Then a classmate told me to make flashcards with just the event on one side and a color on the other (like red for war, blue for act, green for treaty). It forced me to sort them into piles by category first before memorizing. Anyone else use weird color coding to cram for exams?

Wait are we really out here pretending color coding actually fixed anything or did we just make ourselves feel productive while still forgetting half the battles? My system was similar except I used crying emojis on sticky notes to track how many times I cried over the Treaty of Versailles. Actually that's a lie, I once colored coded my entire Civil War timeline by how badly I failed the practice test on each battle. Got a solid D+ on the final but at least my notes looked like a Lisa Frank explosion.

2016 me would've just color coded my crying spells instead, blue for Monday through Sunday lol.
