Why does nobody talk about how much a new toilet flapper can save on your water bill?

Honestly, after swapping out my old, leaky one for a new Fluidmaster 2-inch model last month, my water bill dropped by almost $15, and the constant running noise in the bathroom is finally gone for good.

My neighbor's toilet ran for like three months straight. It sounded like a tiny waterfall in their guest bath. They finally called a plumber who showed them the flapper was totally warped. That constant leak was adding over two thousand gallons to their bill, the guy said. They felt so dumb for not checking it sooner.

$15 is a lot? That's like one less coffee a month. Hardly life changing money.
