TIL those cheap plastic drywall anchors actually work better than the metal ones for lightweight stuff
I kept seeing everyone recommend the metal toggle bolts for hanging anything, so I used them for a small 3lb mirror in my bathroom. Took forever to drill and the hole was huge. Swapped it out for the basic plastic anchors that come with most curtain rods and it held perfectly after 6 months. Am I missing something or are the metal ones just overkill for normal household stuff? Has anyone else had better luck with the plastic ones in drywall?

People always think the expensive complicated option is better when the simple one works just fine.

Wait is this really that deep though? Like yeah sometimes people overcomplicate stuff but a lot of times the expensive option actually does work better. I used to think a cheap coffee maker was fine until I tried my friend's fancy one and the difference was night and day. Same with skincare - cheap stuff gave me breakouts but the pricey stuff cleared me right up. Not everything needs to be a whole philosophy about life yknow.
