The $60 smart thermometer that saved my trim paint from a disaster
Ngl, I was sick of guessing with my cheap IR gun when painting baseboards in my hallway last month. Spent $60 on a probe style thermometer that reads the surface temp directly, and it caught my trim sitting at 54 degrees after I'd already prepped. I would've painted over cold wood and ended up with that awful dry film blistering. Anyone else have paint fail on them because they skipped checking surface temps?
