$40??? That is insane for a drain snake that didnt even work once. I bought a basic steel one at the hardware store for like 8 bucks and it's still going after years of use. Marketing is wild these days - they slap the word "magic" on anything and people pay a premium. Hope you can get your money back somehow, that just feels like a rip off.

That's a good point but I think everyones missing something here. The real issue isnt the price or the marketing hype, its that people are buying drain snakes at all when a simple plunger and some baking soda and vinegar would clear most clogs. A basic steel snake is just as bad if you dont know what youre doing - you can scratch pipes or push the clog further down. Maybe the "magic" snake is a scam but the whole drain cleaning aisle is full of products nobody really needs. Just a thought.
