My toilet handle broke off in my hand Saturday morning, and I almost called a plumber before YouTube saved me.
I was just trying to flush after my morning coffee and the whole plastic handle snapped clean off. My first thought was oh great, this is gonna be a $150 service call. But then I looked up a video and saw the whole internal mechanism is like $8 at Home Depot. I grabbed a Fluidmaster kit for $9.47, watched a 4 minute video, and had it swapped out in 15 minutes. Has anyone else been surprised by how simple a toilet fix actually is?

Oh man, I'm gonna be the guy that says that might've been a trap. I've seen those cheap plastic linkages snap again in three months because the water pressure was actually too high and the real fix was a regulator, not a handle. And that little white tube inside the fill valve? If you don't seat it perfectly on that Fluidmaster kit, you'll wake up to a slow leak and a warped floor board. I'd rather pay a plumber $150 once than chase a mystery drip for a year.
