Looked up my shower head's flow rate and was shocked
I was bored last weekend and looked up the GPM on my old Moen shower head. Turns out it's pushing 3.5 gallons per minute, which is way over the 2.5 GPM federal standard from 1992. Found that stat on the Energy.gov site. Anyone swapped to a low-flow head and actually noticed a difference in water pressure?

Oh man, I totally get that shock. I was a total skeptic about low-flow heads for years, figured they'd just give me a sad little trickle. But then I swapped my old 3.0 GPM one out for a 1.75 GPM model from Delta, and honestly? I barely felt a difference. The key is finding one with good aerating technology (it mixes air in) so the pressure feels the same but uses way less water. My water bill dropped by like 15 bucks a month, which was a nice surprise.

Totally agree, the aerating tech really is a game changer for keeping that pressure high.
