I finally tried a heat gun on sticky door paint instead of sanding

Had this old closet door in my place in Austin where the paint kept sticking every summer. I was about to bust out the sandpaper for the third time, but my neighbor said try a heat gun first. Took about 10 minutes to soften the worst spots and scrape them clean, way less dust than sanding. Turns out the previous owner used latex over oil without priming, so now I know to check that before I ever sand again. Anyone else dealt with the same paint combo mess?
