Tried those new self-tapping drywall screws and now I'm a believer

I was dead set against them after a bad batch of something similar about 5 years ago. Snapped three heads in a row on a job over on Elm Street. But my supplier talked me into grabbing a box of the Grip-Rite ones last week for a ceiling job. Not one break. Not one strip. The bit held tight every time. Anyone else had good luck with these or am I just lucky?

Grip-Rite changed their formula a couple years back, actually.

Yeah did you see what @faith_torres83 said about Grip-Rite changing their formula? My buddy Mike had the exact same experience as you, he fought using them for years after a bad batch and finally gave in last month. He said it was like night and day, not a single screw gave him trouble on his whole basement reno.
