That job on Elm Street where the builder framed every wall a half inch out of square
Spent three days shimming and cutting tapered strips to make the corners look right, and the homeowner still complained about a tiny gap near the ceiling; has anyone else dealt with framing so bad you wanted to walk off?

Feel that pain man. A half inch is brutal.

Dude, right there with you. My last job had a wall that was a full inch off plumb from bottom to top. I spent an afternoon just staring at it, wondering if I could just caulk the whole thing and call it a day. Nope. Ended up cutting tapered strips of shim stock until my hands cramped up, and the homeowner still pointed out the tiny gap near the baseboard. Makes you miss the old knob and tube wiring, at least that stuff was square when it was new.
