I doubted the $14 drywall sanding sponge, now I won't hang a board without it
After 11 years of fighting dust with pole sanders on every ceiling job, a guy at the lumber yard in Tacoma handed me that cheap green sponge and said 'trust me', so I tried it on a 400 square foot garage and the corners came out so smooth I actually checked my own work twice.

Yeah, I was the same way, figured any sponge that cheap couldn't do much more than smear mud around. Then I borrowed one from a buddy on a small bathroom job and the inside corners basically finished themselves. Now I grab one for every patch and board, it just saves so much sanding time.
