Why is using dredge material for wetlands not a bigger priority?
We're digging up perfect soil for restoration projects. But most companies just treat it as waste.

What's the biggest thing stopping this from happening? The dirt is right there and the projects need it, so the hang up has to be money or rules. Seems like a no-brainer if they could sort out the logistics.

and honestly it's like so many things where we overcomplicate something that should be simple right? like how we throw away perfectly good leftover food instead of composting it (or sending it to people who need it) because the logistics and rules make it harder than just dumping it. @brian_dixon89 i bet the legal stuff is a nightmare but still, feels like one of those things where common sense just gets smothered by red tape.
