Warning: That rental dredge in Port Arthur had a nasty surprise

Tbh I got called out to a job near Port Arthur last month and the rental dredge they had was caked with dried mud inside the pump housing. Took me two hours to chip it out before we could even start. Has anyone else run into a rental that wasn't cleaned right?

Hold on now, rental places can't exactly tear down every pump between jobs and still keep prices reasonable. A little dried mud is part of the deal when you're renting equipment that sees heavy use.

Heard from a buddy who works out of Beaumont that the same rental place had a pump come back with a busted impeller from dried mud. Guess they don't bother checking between rentals.
