Log tracking went from a notebook to a cheap tablet, way smoother
For the first 3 years I ran my own dredge work, I kept every depth reading and pump hour in a spiral notebook. If it got wet or I left it at the shop, that day's numbers were gone. Six months ago I picked up a used 8 inch tablet for 60 bucks and now I log everything into a simple spreadsheet form, even with gloves on. It cuts my end of day paperwork from 30 minutes to maybe 8. Anyone else switch their log system and find it weirdly painful to retrain the muscle memory?
