Hot take: is it better to run a cutterhead slow and steady or fast and aggressive?
I was down in Plaquemines Parish last month watching two crews on different dredges. One kept RPMs low and took small bites, the other ran wide open and churned through material like crazy. Which method holds up better on pump wear and tear?
