Wasted $200 on a digital angle finder that couldn't handle a basic roof pitch

Bought one of those fancy digital angle finders from Home Depot last month thinking it'd speed up my roof layouts. First job on a 6/12 pitch and it kept glitching out, had to go back to my old Speed Square. Anyone else had bad luck with digital tools on actual job sites?

You tried to return it yet, or are you just done with digital?

I was listening to a podcast about people just getting fed up with subscriptions and digital locks, and it hit close to home. One guy was talking about how he bought a "smart" coffee maker and then the company went under, so now it's just a dumb brick. That's the thing with digital, you don't really own it, you just rent it until they decide to pull the plug. My buddy tried to return a digital game key once and got told no refunds even though the thing didn't work right on his system. Makes you wonder if all this convenience is worth the headache when it finally breaks.
