Shoutout to the drafter who showed me how to fix a hatched area without redrawing the whole thing
Last month at a coffee shop in Portland, a guy at the next table saw me struggling with a messy pattern on a site plan and walked me through using the boundary command in just 30 seconds, has anyone else had a random stranger save their afternoon?

Saving an afternoon over a CAD trick is a little dramatic, don't you think?
Boundary command is handy, but it's not like he pulled you out of a burning building.
Still, free coffee shop advice is better than paying for a whole redraw, I guess.

ACAD 2016 here, and that Boundary command saved me about two hours last month on a site plan with like 50 overlapping polyline boundaries. I was sitting at the coffee shop too actually, ready to just trace the whole thing by hand, but the kid next to me just tapped my screen and showed me how to pick the point inside and let autocad do the rest. I get that it's not a rescue mission or whatever, but when you're on deadline and staring at a messy drawing, a five second fix feels pretty heroic.
