My dimension string broke on a 14 sheet set and I caught it before the shop cut anything
Was finishing up a set of shop drawings for a small office build in Reno last Thursday, right at the end of the day. Had 14 sheets of details and when I went to plot, half the overall dims on the plan view were reading as fractions of an inch instead of feet. Turned out my dimension style got overridden when I copied a detail block from an old job, and the scale was set wrong on just that one layer. Caught it because the building looked 3 inches long, spent two hours rebuilding the string by hand, and the shop got clean sheets Friday morning. Has anyone else had a copied block silently overwrite their dim style? I want to know how you guys lock that down.
