Just realized my old hand-me-down drafting table is actually a 1970s Hamilton with a glass top after cleaning it for the first time in months.
I was wiping down my workspace and finally noticed the faded logo, which made me look it up and find out it's a model my granddad probably paid a fortune for, so has anyone else stumbled into a quality piece of gear without knowing it at first?

Stumbled into a quality piece of gear" is a stretch for me. Finding a logo you missed is just noticing what was already there. That's not stumbling into anything, it's just not paying attention before.

My uncle's old toolbox turned out to be a full Snap-on set... he just kept it rusty in the garage for years.
