I used to think all my CAD layers needed different colors. A project manager in Omaha changed my mind.

Was working on a big set of MEP drawings for a school job. My PM, Karen, asked why the plumbing lines were purple and the electrical was yellow. I said it helped me see them. She pointed out the contractor's prints would be black and white anyway. She told me, 'Focus on line weight and type, not color. The plotter doesn't care about your rainbow.' Spent the next week redoing my template. Has anyone else had to unlearn a basic habit like that?

Yeah, I know that feeling, @wright.rowan. Reminds me of when my old car finally gave out last winter.
