Found out a simple measurement trick from an old blueprint I picked up at an estate sale

It was a 1947 set of plans for a house in suburban Detroit and the drafter had a note that using a 0.5mm mechanical pencil for all grid lines saved them about 30 minutes per sheet, which I tried on my last project and it really added up.

Wait, didn't that get annoying having to switch pencils for grid lines though? I guess if you're doing the same thing over and over it makes sense to save those small bits of time. The real test is if it actually makes the lines clean enough to read later.

It's actually one pencil with two leads, a 0.5mm for the main lines and a 0.3mm for the grid.
