Drafting table wobble drove me nuts for 6 months, then I tried a shim trick from a machinist
My drafting table at the shop always had this annoying wobble in the back left corner. Leveling feet didnt help, thought the frame was bent. Last week an old machinist buddy stopped by and said the table legs were probably just loose at the joints, not the floor. He had me loosen all the bolts, stick a thin piece of cardboard under one leg, tighten everything back up. Took 10 minutes total. No more wobble. Weird part is nothing looked loose before, but the cardboard shim fixed it. Has anyone else had a wobbly table that was actually a frame issue, not a floor issue? What did you use for shims, or did you just replace the whole table?
