Caught a dimension shift in my CAD file at 2am last Friday
I was updating a floor plan for a strip mall in Tulsa and one of the interior wall dimensions jumped from 12 feet to 12 meters, just on the sheet. The model looked fine, but the paper space annotation was totally off, took me a whole hour to trace it back to a scale override I accidentally left on from a quick detail. My boss caught me muttering at the monitor and asked if I was fighting ghosts, which honestly felt accurate. Anyone else ever had a weird annotation gremlin sneak into a drawing right before a deadline?

Oh trust me, I know that feeling all too well. Had a similar thing happen two weeks back, I was doing a site plan for a church parking lot and the curb return radii somehow got set to 1:20 scale instead of 1:200. Everything looked perfect in model space, but the dimension text was reading all these crazy long numbers like 45.72 meters when it should have been 150 feet. Took me the better part of an evening to figure out it was a dormant annotation scale that had been sitting in the drawing from the previous draftsperson. My advice, check your object overrides on every single dimension style before you even think about plotting. That little blue cloud icon in the properties palette is the devil.
