Tried Dollar Tree's frozen veggies vs Aldi's for 2 weeks straight

Figured I'd test this out since I keep seeing people say frozen veggies are the same no matter where you buy them. Picked up bags of mixed vegetables from Dollar Tree ($1.25 each) and then the same type from Aldi ($1.89). Made the same stir fry recipe 4 times with each. The Dollar Tree bags were half ice crystals when I opened them and the green beans were all mushy after cooking. Aldi ones held up better and actually tasted like vegetables. What store brands have you found that are actually worth paying more for?

Exactly 3 years ago I started buying name brand ketchup after years of getting the cheap store stuff and @noah_rivera57 is spot on with that wet paper towel comparison. I did a taste test with my husband using frozen broccoli from three different stores and the Dollar Tree ones literally turned into green mush in the pan while the Aldi ones kept their shape. The Kroger brand actually came out the best for us, not the cheapest but not the priciest either. It really does matter where you get them from especially if you're trying to make a decent stir fry.
