The $1.25 spice packets at my local store beat the $4 jars, fight me

I heard this lady in line behind me at Dollar Tree say she only buys the big brand spices from the regular grocery store because the dollar store ones are 'full of fillers.' Man, that got me thinking. Ive been using the Great Value knockoff taco and ranch seasoning packets from the random discount shelf for like 6 months now and honestly the flavor is basically the same. The trick is you gotta check the sodium content on the back, some of them are crazy salty. I made a whole pot of chili last Tuesday with a $1.25 packet of chili mix and nobody at my table noticed the difference. Plus I saved like $9 compared to buying three separate jars of cumin, paprika, and garlic powder. Has anyone else tried the store brand seasoning packets or am I just lucky with my location in Pittsburgh? Maybe the quality varies by region or something, idk.

Wait, you mixed spices yourself instead of buying the packets and you think that's some kind of win? That's like bragging you saved money by not buying a car.
