Grabbed a bag of dollar store rice and it turned to glue in 10 minutes flat

I was making a quick stir fry last Tuesday with that cheap rice from the Family Dollar on Broadway, and after 10 minutes on the stove it turned into a sticky, gummy mess that clung to the pan like cement. Ended up tossing the whole batch and microwaving a leftover potato instead because the rice was completely unusable. Has anyone else had that problem with bargain bin rice brands or did I just get a bad bag?

My buddy Kevin bought a bag of that same rice last month and said it came out looking like wallpaper paste. Said his dog even turned it down.

Bet Kevin probably cooked it wrong, that rice is actually legit.
